SUN-DAY is the day on which we all hold our common assembly, because it is the first day on which God, having wrought a change in the darkness and matter, made the world; and Jesus Christ our Saviour on the same day rose from the dead. Its significance will be at once seen when we come to the New Testament Scriptures.

In verse 16 it is the verb that is used and not the noun, and therefore it does not come within our inquiry. He was the only major reformer of the second generation who devoted a full-length work to this book. But the contrary is the fact: Of course, if there is no difference between these two pieces of “good-news,” and the kingdom is the same thing as the Church or Body of Christ, then there is an end of the whole matter; not merely of our task, but of the Bible itself.
